Giorgio Budi Indrarto
Deputy Director

Giorgio Budi Indrarto is our Deputy Director, bringing more than two decades of experience in climate change, forestry, and environmental law. Active in various national and international forums since 2000, he has contributed to strengthening governance, community rights, and ecosystem protection. His previous roles include serving as the Civil Society Forum Coordinator, contributing as a writer to Indonesia’s National REDD+ Strategy, and working as a national REDD+ advisor for the Rainforest Foundation Norway (RFN). In 2016, Giorgio joined Winrock International as the Deputy Project Director of the Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil Alliance (ASLI), where he advanced multi-stakeholder collaboration to promote sustainable palm oil practices. This role further expanded his leadership in advancing transparency, accountability, and environmental governance. Since 2017, he has served as the National Coordinator for TRASE in Indonesia, a position that deepened his expertise in data, supply chain mapping, and technology. Through this work, Giorgio contributes to strengthening data-driven transparency and decision-making in Indonesia’s commodity and forest landscape governance.
