Madani Program - Agriculture Berkelanjutan

Sustainable Agriculture

Balancing economy and ecology. Transforming commodity supply chains to be more equitable, improving smallholder livelihoods, and halting deforestation within the agricultural sector.

Objective

Strengthen governance in key plantation sectors—palm oil, rubber, cocoa, coffee—to enhance smallholder livelihoods, market acceptance, and climate contributions.

Where

Indonesia (Lokal)

Why

Indonesia is the largest producer of palm oil and rubber, and third largest of cocoa and coffee. Millions of smallholders manage substantial land but face low productivity, skill gaps, and sustainability challenges. Without action, supply chains risk social inequity, environmental degradation, and loss of market access.

How

  • Engage smallholders, cooperatives, and private sector in sustainable supply chains

  • Provide technical assistance and collective action support to improve productivity

  • Raise awareness of green commodity practices

  • Facilitate adoption of global sustainability standards
